The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Directorate of Health Human Resources Quality, holds a meeting on the Review of the Draft Script for the Development of Digital Learning Media for Refresher Training in Malaria Microscopy for Medical Laboratory Technologists on Tuesday, 5 May 2026 via Zoom. The meeting serves as a follow-up to the development process of digital learning media for malaria microscopy training, which produces an initial draft of the learning media script.

The meeting aims to review and refine the draft script that later serves as a guideline for the development of digital learning media for Medical Laboratory Technologists. The programme forms an important part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of laboratory health personnel in malaria diagnosis and to support the standardisation of malaria diagnostic competencies in Indonesia.

The meeting involves various stakeholders, including the Directorate of Communicable Diseases of the Ministry of Health, the Global Fund ATMR team, the PATELKI professional association, and the digital media development team from CV. Lantar Cipta Media. In addition, the module development team consists of representatives from government institutions, public health laboratories, professional organisations, World Health Organization Indonesia, and other partner institutions.

Representing OUCRU Indonesia, Dr Lenny Ekawati participates as one of the members of the module development team. The involvement of multiple institutions in the preparation of this digital learning media is expected to produce training materials that are more comprehensive, adaptive, and relevant to strengthening the malaria diagnostic system in Indonesia.
