PLASMODX

We provide an easy-to-use simulation tool (PLASMODX) to help you learn to identify malaria parasites through practice using 1,000 high-quality microscope images.

In each session, you will view 42 random images featuring various forms of red blood cells infected with malaria parasites: P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. malariae, and P. knowlesi , as well as healthy red blood cells.

With such a large number of images, there are approximately 243 x 10⁶⁷ possible combinations, making it nearly impossible for you to encounter the same set of images in two different sessions.

For each image, you will select the correct answer(s) from several options provided. Please note that some questions may require multiple answers. Your answers will be automatically checked, and the system will calculate the percentage of correct answers.

This system helps you improve accuracy, sharpen your ability to recognize the characteristics of malaria parasites, and build confidence in making diagnoses. You can monitor your progress and identify areas that still need improvement.

This tool is not just a learning platform, but a practical simulator that helps you prepare to detect malaria faster, more accurately, and consistently.

Before starting, ensure you are ready and have a stable internet connection. Each image has a time limit of 25 seconds to be answered.
