On 13 January 2026, the Country Coordinating Mechanism for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Indonesia (CCM Indonesia) invited members of the Malaria Technical Working Group (TWG) to attend a meeting on the 2026 work plan for Malaria Principal Recipients (PRs). The meeting is scheduled to take place virtually on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, from 13:30 to 16:00 WIB via Zoom.

This meeting forms a crucial part of efforts to ensure the optimal implementation of the Global Fund grant under Grant Cycle 7 (2024–2026), with 2026 marking the final year of programme implementation. All stakeholders are therefore encouraged to maximise programme achievements while ensuring effective budget absorption through to the end of the grant period.

The main agenda includes presentations on programme performance and budget absorption for 2025 from the Ministry of Health PR and the Perdhaki PR, as well as the development of the 2026 work plan. The meeting will also cover updates on the Malaria Programme Review from the Ministry of Health and discuss the necessary strategic follow-up actions.

According to the terms of reference, the TWG plays a strategic role in overseeing the quality of programme implementation, including ensuring efficient use of resources and the achievement of key programme indicators. The meeting is also expected to produce an accelerated budget absorption plan for the period from January to December 2026, alongside updates to the C19RM programme closure plan.

The meeting will bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from government ministries, international organisations, academia, and development partners. This cross-sector collaboration is expected to strengthen strategic efforts towards the sustainable elimination of malaria in Indonesia.
