The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia holds the Socialisation of Mass LLIN Monitoring Activities in High Malaria-Endemic Areas for 2025–2026 on Friday, 21 August 2026. The activity aims to strengthen the monitoring and oversight of mass LLIN interventions at district and city levels and to assess the effectiveness of LLIN use in malaria prevention.

The activity takes place online via Zoom and involves participants from the Ministry of Health, development partners, health organisations, research institutions, and representatives from health offices in several regions. Regional participants include representatives from the Provincial Health Offices of Papua, Central Papua, West Papua, Southwest Papua, South Papua, and East Nusa Tenggara, as well as several districts and cities, including Jayapura, Keerom, Yapen Islands, Mimika, Merauke, Manokwari, Sorong, and Southwest Sumba.

The event begins with an opening and remarks from the Director of Communicable Diseases, followed by a presentation on mass LLIN distribution achievements by the PATVZ-GHBTB Working Team. The session continues with a discussion and question-and-answer session to review progress in LLIN distribution and address various aspects that require attention during implementation.

The afternoon session focuses on the technical aspects of mass LLIN monitoring. OUCRU and the Director of Communicable Diseases serve as speakers for sessions on the technical implementation of mass LLIN monitoring and the procedures for completing the monitoring instruments. These sessions provide participants with an opportunity to gain a more detailed understanding of the monitoring process and the use of monitoring instruments, followed by a discussion, question-and-answer session, and closing.
