On 18 February 2026, the Country Coordinating Mechanism for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Indonesia (CCM Indonesia) invited members of the CCM/TWG Malaria and relevant partners to attend a routine meeting to discuss the Progress Update/Disbursement Request (PU/DR) report for the malaria programme covering January–December 2025. The meeting was held virtually on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, from 13:00 to 16:00 WIB via Zoom.

The meeting aimed to review programme achievements and budget absorption levels from the two Principal Recipients, namely the Ministry of Health (MoH) PR and the Perdhaki PR. Another key agenda item was the discussion of the reprogramming plan for remaining funds (savings) from Grant Cycle 7 (GC7), as well as updates on the preparation of the Global Fund Funding Request proposal for GC8 (2027–2029).

According to the terms of reference, the meeting is expected to produce a PU/DR report ready for submission to the Global Fund, including a root cause analysis of programme performance. It also serves as a platform to agree on strategies for optimising the use of remaining funds to support priority activities, such as strengthening malaria interventions in endemic areas and procuring essential health commodities.

Furthermore, as outlined in the invitation, the reprogramming of GC7 funds is a key priority, with stakeholders encouraged to promptly propose strategic utilisation of the remaining budget. Proposed areas include system development, community health worker strengthening, and the expansion of interventions in priority regions.

The meeting brings together a wide range of cross-sector stakeholders, including government representatives, civil society organisations, and programme partners. This collaboration is expected to enhance the effectiveness of programme implementation while reinforcing efforts towards malaria elimination in Indonesia.
